Though I often say I like to write, every now and then I identify with a quote by writer, producer, and director Michael Kanin: “I don’t like to write, but I love to have written.” Of course, a sense of completion doesn’t always accompany a completed piece of writing. Despite the struggle and anguish I sometimes face trying to put my ideas into words, I know it’s the only way I’m going to get those ideas out where I can see them, cut and paste them, and turn them into something concrete and appealing.
Writing is only part of my life. When I’m not tapping at the keyboard, I work as an electrician. I live in McMinnville, Oregon. For exercise, I like to take bike rides around town. If I need a jolt of creative inspiration (or a break from creative inspiration), I like to read. Iron Maiden is my favorite band and one of my influences as a writer. “The Simpsons” is my favorite TV show, though it takes a backseat occasionally with Clone Wars readily available or when new Mandalorian episodes are dropping
